Theatre of the Damned

Theatre of the Damned

The as before unbroken magic of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal is one of the few constants in the quick living style of the rock community. The most recent proof of this is the old school metal sounds delivered from BLITZKRIEG out of the English town of Newcastle. Theatre Of The Damned offers the same authentic Heavy Metal of the 80s along with a super freshness and total attitude. Co-produced by Saxon front-man Biff Byford, the fans can expect an explosion in typical BLITZKRIEG style. In October 1980, 27 years ago, the band formed. One month later the first demo was released which then earned them a label deal with the legendary Neat Records. Not long after the single Blitzkrieg/Buried Alive was released. In 1981 the band split and the musicians were active in other bands such as Satan. In 1985, the BLITZKRIEG album A time Of Changes was surprisingly released. The album influenced many bands, for example Metallica, who covered the track Blitzkrieg on their Creeping Death- EP. Between 1990 and 2005 the Englishmen released many top quality albums and excessively toured throughout Europe with Saxon und Doro, until at the beginning of 2007 they were signed by the German Label Armageddon Music so that they can now fire off their strongest and heaviest metal of all time.
