Howard's horn is very agreeable, melodic and often exciting in its sense of playfulness, but a few less vocals would make it stand out even more. Personal is a must buy for sax lovers and instrumental fans who like to shake their booties. Before his death later in the decade, Howard released a slew of popular R&B sax albums that were even better than this. Top cuts include "Uptown" and "I'm in Effect."
