Jennifer Blake stars in and has co-created a new musical based on the tragic and fascinating life of country singer Mindy McCready. After successful runs in Los Angeles and in New York, Off-Broadway, this EP album of excerpts from the show's countrified covers was recorded in Los Angeles in June 2017, including some of the original cast members. Jennifer Blake and Brady Harris have, along with Zack Cosby, Michael Post, Michael Rubin, and Michael Ursu, reinterpreted these 90's country chart toppers as fresh, current day sonic storytelling with southern flavor. “I grew up in a small town, singing forever,” she tells Rolling Stone Country. “I loved her ambition, her drive — which is a lot of what we are focused on the show — and her real deep, deep love for the men in her life, including her brothers.
