Three months before this single was released, my father was hospitalized in a large hospital due to bedsores. According to the hospital, he was in a critical condition and could pass away at any moment. He had been in a care facility, but he was not admitted to the hospital until his condition had worsened to the point where it was too late. When I realized that my father might not survive, I thought about what I could do for him. Since he was unable to eat, I decided that even if he couldn't listen to it himself, I would compose a song dedicated to him. That's how I created The Path I Walked with My Father.
