Joey Contreras is a new musical theatre composer-lyricist currently living in NY. His song-cycle, "This Thing Called Love," was workshopped with Philly Music Theatre Works in 2009 and is currently in development. He also is working on the coming of age musical, "Wallflower." In addition to two concerts at The Duplex in NY, Joey's music has been performed at Joe's Pub and the Laurie Beechman Theater as well as circulated the new musical theatre scenes across the country. His first album, "Love Me, Love Me Not: The Music of Joey Contreras" includes eleven tracks taken from Joey's songbook.
