The music takes the listener around the world and beyond....from The "Legend of the Mermaid", to a "Journey to Timbuktu" with an unusual array of acoustic World instruments and ethereal synthesizers. An earthy, yet cosmic soundscape is created on World flutes, Australian Didgeridoo, Djembe drum, Ngoni African harp, Bawu, and electronic instruments. Kat Epple - flutes, synthesizer, voice, EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) Peabody and Emmy Award-winning composer, synthesist, and flutist, Kat Epple, has traveled throughout the world, collecting and playing flutes from other cultures.
