Aaron Robinson's AN AMERICAN REQUIEM reflects within its music great American composers such as Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, and Leonard Bernstein, and also composers from other lands that immigrated to America, bringing with them the music of their country. The performed work itself integrates music with the spoken word inspired by actual events that forged our nation through the passing of individual lives - from politicians and activist leaders to heroic citizens.
