Mecha Vs Kaiju - The Soundtrack
Mecha: giant humanoid robots controlled by human pilots. Kaiju: Giant monsters spawned by atomic radiation. Mecha Vs Kaiju portrays the epic struggle of heroic mecha pilots in their towering war machines, defending the people of Japan against gigantic radioactive monsters. Mecha Vs Kaiju – The Soundtrack by Stratos is “music to game by” – suitable for use with any campaign setting featuring monsters and robots. Many influences went into composing Mecha Vs Kaiju – The Soundtrack. One of the most obvious is Godzilla – king of the monsters! From legally-sampled sound effects to pure 8-bit video game homage, this soundtrack is sure to please. Tracks #2, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #11, #12, #14, and #22 were originally written as promotional songs inspired by Mechabot – a fantastic creation by Go Hero, LLC. From these ten songs, two (#2: Go `Bot Go and #5: Terror Strike) were selected by Go Hero to appear on their first monster-inspired compilation CD, Kaijuice. The other remaining twelve songs were written specifically for the MvK Soundtrack. Stand out tracks from this collection include #4: Lock on Target (with its Euro Hip-Hop vibe and vocoder effects), #15: Black Ghost, #16: Android Hunter [Mogera Mix] (a remix by Capt Futura, the original version of the song by Stratos appears on our Universe87 Campaign Setting Soundtrack also available from CDBaby), and #20: Triunedon Awakes (a dynamic song laying the ground for a forthcoming comic book series featuring the mysterious kaiju, Triunedon). Mecha Vs Kaiju – The Soundtrack falls under the Futuristic Universe category, a genre designation created by the Bailey Records Composition and Sound Design team, representing music suitable for any future / sci-fi roleplaying and miniatures game, setting, or project.
