We finally got back to the studio to put together the follow up to the “Blue” album we released a few years ago. This one features more great Blues tunes from my past adventures. What better album title than to call it Deep Blue! It features a bunch of forgotten and less known Blues classics such as “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out” which I learned to play from the great Odetta, whom I was fortunate enough to play with.” Same goes for “The Hunter” which I learned when I played with the great Albert King. Two songs I included on this collection are for my Dads “April Showers” and “Song For My Father.” The album also features a song from Mose Allison! It has another from Ray Charles. Let’s not forget Taj Mahal. And two from my favorite album John Mayal Blues Breakers.
