The musical project Soapbox was formed by multi-instrumentalist and producer Rodrigo Rosales in May 2010, and as of 2013 with two full length albums a proper band was formed, with Mario Pullin on Guitar, Roberto Lobo on Bass, and Daniel Suarez on Drums, this added a more aggressive sound to the band and a new dimension on performance. A soapbox is a raised platform on which one stands to make an impromptu speech, often about a political subject. The term originates from the days when speakers would elevate themselves by standing on a wooden crate originally used for shipment of soap or other dry goods from a manufacturer to a retail store.
