“Face melting rock” There’s no better description of Iconoclast than that phrase. Ripped from the bowels of YouTube, it is, of course, in response to a randomly uploaded video of a live performance. Showcasing the band’s true talents, no album can prepare you for the live performance. Led by charismatic vocalist Marc Bourgon, it’s obvious he was born to be in front of a crowd, feeding off the audience like the class clown – that is if the class clown was a rugged rocker with powerful vocals. Intense, Bourgon is also approachable with a sly smile. Iconoclast loves the stage and it comes through in each live performance, with the often eratic energy of guitarist Mike Corkum, the passion of bassist Mike Korn, rocking solos from Dave Di Ubaldo to the monster rhythm supplied by drummer Marian (Mars) Dej.
