Infinite Lover
"Infinite Lover" is the first collaboration of Phyllis Chapell (vocals/guitar) and Dan Kleiman (keyboards). This CD was released in 1994 and was a precursor to their collaboration on the CD called "SIORA" which is the name of their new Contemporary World Jazz ensemble. Their duo collaboration is a jazzy mix of Brazilian, jazz standards, some popular songs, and original compositions. The songs all feature the guitar work and vocals of Phyllis Chapell with a 3-octave range, singing in Portuguese and English, and the piano, bass and percussion of keyboardist Dan Kleiman. Ms Chapell's inflections remind one of a smooth, sultry Joni Mitchell, if Joni could sing in eight languages." Nite Sights and Sounds (John Noyd)
