Season’s greetings! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the artists involved in what I believe to be a very special project. Two years ago (December of 2007) I decided to attempt a fresh look at the music associated with Christmas and the Holiday season, not by re-recording the classics, but by giving my artists the opportunity to write new ones. To my surprise, I was elated to find that they rose to the occasion, not only re-interpreting the way we see and hear Christmas, but with a reverence for the classics. While the music on this recording definitely embraces the Yuletide spirit, it is also poignant and refreshingly honest. I simply must thank the artists of Basement 247 Studios for allowing me the opportunity to express myself through their music, not just on this recording but through all the work that’s passed over the studio's tape heads over the past ten years.
