Phil Lewis is an instrumental rock guitarist from Birmingham UK whose music has been described as magically expressive, energetic, atmospheric and soothing. With a guitar style somewhere between Joe Satriani and Dave Gilmore, he manages to bring a unique balance of melody and heart into his playing. Phil's musical background started at the age of 17 when he was given his first electric guitar. Influenced by players such as Jimi Page, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix, he soon found himself performing with different bands in and around the Birmingham club scene. He later went on to study at the Guitar School in Smethwick where he now teaches a number of musical styles to students of mixed age and ability. His Debut album 'Without Words' was released in 2001 featuring 10 instrumental tracks. This was later re-released in 2005 with an additional 6 tracks including a cover of 'Pop Looks Bach' - also known as the 'Ski Sunday' theme tune. In 2009 Phil released his second album 'Green Room' which featured Adrian Rose
