Take My Hand is a bit slow to kick off as it is just the beat from the drum machine at first, followed by a very gradual crescendo of the keyboards. However, in true XYPO fashion, he is just establishing a solid build-up before the vocals come in. In contrast, there is nothing gradual about the vocals at all. It just comes blaring in and even as early as the opening line, the vocals are already forceful. In fact, the vocals in the opening verse are so powerful that you hardly notice the rise in the energy when the chorus comes along. That is essentially the strength of the song; it is able to maintain a high level of energy once it kicks into high gear. Kudos should be given to the vocalist for doing such a magnificent job. With such high energy levels during the verse and the chorus, you would probably be expecting the bridge to be a bit subdued. Surprisingly no! If anything, the bridge had even more fervour in it. You will feel most likely feel most immersed in the song during the bridge. XYPOs love for the saxophone again could be seen as some notes drifted in from the sax in the final quarter of the song. However, the sax played more of a fillers role on this track - it was tastefully done. The keyboards were also great in providing the main riff throughout, but it was really the vocals that shone the most.
