Milez Grimez
In early 2000, during an open mic session at a Talib Kweli show, Milez Grimez graced the stage for the first time. A positive crowd reaction was all it took for Milez to realize he had a future in hip-hop. One year down the line, Milez linked-up with 8th (formerly known as 8th Wundah), an emcee/producer with a wealthy reputation throughout the Rhode Island hip-hop circuit, which opened a number of doorways for the aspiring artist. Since then, Milez has been pounding the pavement, refusing to miss out on any opportunity with the potential of flourishing his hip-hop career. His hard work has earned him appearances next to lyrical legends Rock (of Heltah Skeltah), Kool G Rap, Fredro Starr, and Crooked I (of Shady Records super-group Slaughterhouse), as well as underground sensations Apathy, Ruste Juxx (Duck Down Records), and Shabaam Sahdeeq. \r \r \r Other notches on the belt of Grimez have come by way of his recent victories at the Winter Wars emcee battle and, more impressively, R.A. the Rugged Man's Murderous Lyricist Competition, in which he beat-out hundreds of submissions and earned the votes and praise from over twenty well-known, respected panelists from the independent hip-hop community. There is no question that Rhode Island's Milez Grimez has what it takes to succeed; it's only a matter of time before the world takes notice.
